A second look at the Green Heron, and a Red Breasted Fly-catcher as well.

The Green Heron at West Hythe.
A much better day weather wise today, so after some early morning chores, I decided to re visit West Hythe, and try for some more photo’s. On arrival, the Green Heron was showing well, and I was able to take some pictures, as well as chatting to Mike Gould and Gadget, whom also had decided to pay another visit. The bird was very obliging, feeding and resting just a few metres away, completely oblivious to the bird watchers, whom were arriving steadily throughout my hour or so that I remained. Word filtered down that a Red Breasted Fly-catcher was showing by the railway station at Dungeness, a bird that I have never seen before, so along with Gadget and Mike, we travelled the 10 miles to Dungeness, and parked the cars and made our way to the station. Immediately, I saw a Black Redstart, a bird until recently would have had me clicking away at my camera, but a few moments later, I caught site of the Red Breasted Fly-catcher, my second new bird in two days. It allowed some photos to be taken, and an hour after arriving, I was on my way home, and a few hours then on the computer, sifting through the many photos taken throughout the day.
