Quiet at Grove Ferry.

A Female Marsh Harrier, flying over the Turf Field hide this morning.
A late start this morning, as I entered the Turf field hide at 09.30 am. I did not intend to do much, and was soon joined by Martyn Wilson , Marc Heath, Allan Ashdown, Phil Parker and Steve Ray. It must have been quiet, as they saw out the rest of the morning with me, spending about an hour and a half in the hide. There was not a lot to see or record, and watching Marc unleash his new lens, ( 2 days delivery time from Hong Kong, impressive) was about as exciting as it got. A Female Marsh Harrier gave the day’s only photo opportunity, gratefully taken, and after waking up Phil, we left the hide late morning.
