Brambling.
Brambling.
In Wintry conditions, I drove to the car park at Clowes Wood, not expecting to be able to take any pictures, but it was to wet and windy to go any where else. A Brambling showed fairly well, as it fed on the floor beneath a seed feeder, and a couple of Coal Tits were regularly visiting the feeder. There were Great, Long-tailed and Blue Tits present, with at least 3 Great-Spotted Woodpeckers. Chaffinch, Robin and Dunnock was also noted, along with Blackbirds, Song Thrush, Magpie and a single Jay. Not a great day for photo’s, but it was nice to see the Brambling.
